Opening Act is an interactive art installation that invites the public into a shared space of music, art, and storytelling. Created in collaboration with Sanchana Krishnan, Opening Act will transform Cooper’s Alley (Chattanooga, TN) into the bedroom of a music-loving teenager, as visitors will have the chance to listen to sounds, engage memory, and decorate the space through activities created by the artists. The designs and stories created by the community during the evening will become the prologue of a forthcoming project on music, identity, and belonging that Golson will share with the public in 2022.
